The End of an Era

So, I guess it has been quite some time since some serious posting has occured on the beloved Turkey Pitt blog. Towards the end of our time in the Turkey Pitt, we were pretty busy. Gary was finishing up his MSA, I was working for McAllisters then not working for McAllisters and then working for McAllisters once more. Brashley and Katherine moved out in July. Gary went missing for most of July, and he was reportedly seen in Europe, Ohio, and Virginia Beach all in the same week! I'm not quite sure how that happened, but it meant I was left alone. As I look back to when I was looking back during my last week in the Pitt, I realized I was the first one to move in WAAAAAY back in 2005, and I was the last to move out in 2008. The Turkey Pitt had more than it's share of good times (mohawks, 80's dance parties, Blue 42), and it also had more than it's share of bad times (The Ho-Train, full frontal male nudity, Blue 42), just to name a few. Gary has purchased cyberspace rights to the turkeypitt.com, which hopefully will be up and running soon to act as a more permenant reminder of the best apartment at JMU during those 3 long years. So, as I wrap up my final ever official Turkey Pitt Blog post, I woud like to leave everyone with this quote that in my opinion, represents the Turkey Pitt to the fullest:

"Don't need nothin' but a good time
How can I resist
Ain't lookin' for nothin' but a good time
And it don't get better than this"

Battle of the Titans!

As many of you know, Obal and I are currently in a battle royale of sorts. Starting a month ago, we both gave up soda to see who could go longer without it. Im doing fine so far, but Obal seems to be feeling the pressure. His sugary caffiene induced warcraft comas have been sorely missed, and energy drink companies' profits have plummeted. Yes, I know, I tried giving up soda a few blog posts ago and it didnt go well at all, but this time is going way better.

So, if you all want to see Obal warcraft-free, than offer him tasty cola beverages when you see him.

Happy Working Song vs. That's How You Know

That's How You Know

Happy Working Song

Ahh, the ultimate question. Which song is better, Happy Working Song or That's How You Know? Jason says that HWS is better, but Sissy Bear and I say THYK is better. In case you don't know, these songs come from the Disney movie Enchanted. Enough chit chat, let's get down to the pros and cons of each.
THYK
Pros: sweet Caribbean sound, sweet Jamaican guy with steel drums, fun people in the park, great action with all kinds of singers and dancers doing both at the same time
Cons: too short
HWS
Pros: the sooner this song is sung, the sooner you can hear THYK
Cons: look at the picture above^^
Concluding remarks: THYK is better than HWS, nuff said.

Girls Girls Girls

No no, not the Motley Crue album. Helen (Mini Russian) has expressed her desires to make out with Ashley. Helen has decided that girls are more fun, and better kissers. Her top 10 female make out wish list follows (in no particular order)...
Herself
Ashley
Katherine
Jen (Collie)
Mariana
Jen Howsmon
Caitlin
Holly
Meredith
Mandi from the 80s tribute band The Reflex
As you can see, Helen is going to be very busy trying to make out with all these girls. Hopefully she has chapstick and lipgloss readily available.

Dreams

So, I had this dream and it was pretty horrible. I went into Obal's room and asked him if I could borrow some toothpaste. He obliged and I took it into my bathroom and used it. Then I was outside and my car had these baskets all around it and they were full of unopened tubes of toothpaste. Obal yelled at me and I was sad. Then I was in a dirt mall chasing a kid.

Wow, that was a bad dream. I hate when Obal yells at me :(

UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES

Hello true believers (sorry Stan Lee),
It's been quite a while since we've had an update on the Turkey Pitt. Don't be alarmed, a lot has been happening to keep us all very busy. Since Jason and I are in grad school, we are too busy procrastinating in creative ways to update. I don't think Brad updates on here yet, but we should change that soon, maybe. Speaking of Brad, he and I visit the South View Gym every morning Monday-Thursday. If you would like autographs, you will have to bring your own pens because we just don't carry them. Also, if you come to visit, you just might catch a glimpse of the Bionic Woman, which is what I have decided to call her in the absence of a better nick name. She works out WAY too HARD for little SVG, she SHOULD be at UREC, but alas, she hogs the minor league equipment just down the road. She is exactly like the Bionic Woman in that she never stops moving and is always doing something super-human in a physical sense (not like super powers thank goodness). Jason is often seen in the company of someone I shall desginate Filmie # 1 because she runs the movies here at JMU. When Jason is not with Filmie # 1 he keeps company with Dowid Beechum, an ABUV AVG clone of Jason himself. They are also lovers. On a final note, there are two Walkers who frequent the Turkey Pitt. Before you start jumping to conclusions, I'm not talking about Jordan (Walker # 1). Brittany is here at school and we are usually excited, except when she's acting like Jason. Her being here also disrrupts the Walker ranking system, demoting Jason to Walker # 3, with Brittany at Walker # 2. That's all for updates, check back for the current favorites.
